“Flying” Bug Puppets

​Children will let their imaginations take flight as they design and create their own insect-inspired rod puppets. Each participant will choose a bug or flying creature to bring to life while learning basic design, fabrication, and puppet-building techniques.Students will explore how to create wings, add movement, and use simple puppeteering skills to make their insects “fly.”This class is a fun opportunity for children to learn both a craft and an art form while building creativity, confidence, and hands-on skills they can enjoy throughout the summer and beyond.
